I work as a personal trainer and a bartender.  Some people ask me how I justify having jobs that appear to be on opposite ends of a spectrum.  I always reply, ‘hey, you have to work hard to play hard!’.  I love to have fun and meet great people.

I chose fitness as my career because I am passionate about exercise and how it can benefit your body and mind.  I want to help people live their lives to their fullest potential.  I also want to help people be happy with themselves and their lives.  At the end of the day, that is one of the most important things in life!  I love to learn both in my own trade and from other people; this career gives me the amazing opportunity to do both!

Victoria Garcia Drago

Victoria Garcia Drago discovered Yoga in 2000 in her quest to find a deeper connection between her body and mind. Certified

through the Yoga Studio (500hrs), Victoria has been sharing her knowledge and passion for Yoga with students of many levels,

including professional athletes, for over 10 years. Victoria uses her creativity and curiosity to explore innovative and original

sequences to open up physical as well as mental blockages. Victoria takes students through a journey of exploration of the body and

mind and invites them to explore the connection of the two. Her thorough and step-by-step explanations allow the most timid and

inflexible students to mindfully get into poses they didn’t even know they could do.

Victoria has produced a bilingual (English-Spanish) Yoga DVD, available on her website www.pura-yoga.com .

In addition, Victoria has a BS in Holistic Nutrition and is currently working on a MA in Mind-Body studies. For fun, and to encourage

women to let go, move freely and enjoy living in their bodies, Victoria teaches Zumba ®.

This bootcamp and spinning instructor, as well as personal trainer extraordinaire is from just outside of Philly and transplanted here in Boston 5 years ago.

Originally from northeastern Pennsylvania, Melissa received her BS in Exercise Science with a

Rachel Lerner

Rachel moved to Boston from South Florida in 2003. It was in Boston that she

discovered her passion for fitness the day she began taking group exercise classes. The

motivating atmosphere and energy level in the group setting was unlike anything she had

found before. Inspired to learn more and help others find happiness through exercise,

she became certified in 2009 and has been teaching classes at Life In Synergy ever since. Rachel’s favorite

way to work out is in a fast tempo mat class, using mostly body weight against the force

of gravity to sculpt long, lean muscles. As XYB’s Fitness Fashion Director, Rachel will

couple her love of fashion and styling outfits with her experience as an instructor.

Christina McCarthy

From Stoneham, just north of Boston, Christina is a born and raised sarcastic and sassy Bostonian woman. She spent four years in Philly earning her Marketing & Management degree where she acquired her not only fabulous style but also a wicked weird Boston/Philly accent…pronouncing some of her “rah’s” and elongating her “oooo’s”.

Her fabulous style and excitement for all things fluffy, sparkly, and colorful started at a very young age. Ultimately, it was her discovery of Wet & Wild makeup that inspired her true love and passion for makeup and all things beautiful. A far cry from her middle school days, Christina is now a Makeup Artist and Beauty Stylist as well as moonlighting as a freelance MAC Makeup Artist on the weekends.

Her inspiration comes from the people she loves, personal experiences, and the beautiful scenery that surrounds her every day. She can’t wait to share her approach to makeup and beauty with a community that is so focused on the empowerment of oneself and just loving and living life.

Let’s rock the rEVOLution XYB! Cheers to living life & feeling good while doing so!

Sarah Bayle

A graduate of Smith College in Northampton, MA, Sarah Bayle currently works in the field of educational publishing as a project manager. The part of her job that she enjoys the most is helping her authors transform their ideas into tangible products—which these days can be anything from a printed book to an eBook, or even an entire online learning management solution. This summer Sarah will be embarking on a new adventure, setting up shop as an independent editorial consultant/project manager, hoping to work with authors in the fitness and wellness sphere to develop health and wellness content. Sarah discovered the many benefits of exercise in her late twenties—including the strong connection between mind and body—and has spent the last few years working hard to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle. This fall she fell head over heels in love with yoga and is currently training to be a yoga teacher. She’s very excited about the opportunity to contribute to Exercise Your Beauty!
